County Clerk Kari Harris appeared before the Finance Committee on Aug. 19 to request $89,002.14 in ARPA funds to scan and index County Clerk documents from 1985 through 2005. Harris said scanning would allow banks and members of the public to search records online; she told the committee she would pay indexing costs from other Clerk funds.
Committee members asked whether a smaller date range might reduce the ARPA request; Harris said she could request pricing for a reduced range. The committee took no action at the meeting.
