The Lewisville ISD Board of Trustees approved two resolutions related to the Texas Education Agency at the Oct. 21 meeting. The first resolution expressed support for litigation challenging the TEA's A–F accountability system and the STAAR testing regime; the motion was made by Mrs. Katherine Sells and seconded by Mrs. Allison Lassahn and passed by a 6–1 vote with Dr. Staci Barker listed as abstaining.
A second resolution addressing the TEA TSDS Ed‑Fi transition was moved by Mrs. Michelle Alkhatib, seconded by Mrs. Sheila Taylor, and likewise carried 6–1 with Dr. Barker recorded as abstaining.
