LISD tech leaders present 2023 bond projects including WAN fiber, private LTE, A/V refresh and DAS

At the Sept. 3 work session Lewisville ISD technology leaders presented a slate of projects funded through the 2023 bond (I&S funds). CTO Bryon Kolbeck and Director of Network Infrastructure Chris Langford described four first-sale items: the WAN Fiber Ring Phase 2 project (TB02), selection of an engineering firm for the Private LTE project (TB02), the Classroom A/V Refresh construction delivery method (TB01) and the Cellular Distributed Antenna System project (SB07).
The presentation identified those projects by bond code (TB02, TB01, SB07) and by programmatic purpose (wide-area network capacity, private LTE engineering, classroom audiovisual upgrades and improved cellular coverage). Trustees received the briefing as part of the technology report; no final construction contracts or engineering awards were recorded in the work session minutes.
