Levelland ISD approves storm-related HVAC replacements and well repairs totaling hundreds of thousands

CFO Teresa Montemayor and Maintenance Director Adam Oliva presented bids to repair storm-damaged infrastructure. The board voted to accept Bell Heating and Air for Capitol Elementary at a quote of $21,400; Bruce Thornton Air Conditioning for Levelland Middle School at $162,810; and a $129,975 quote for Levelland Academic Beginning Center.
For well equipment repairs, Townsend Pump Service submitted a total quote of $113,253 for all repairs; after review two quotes for South Elementary produced a revised total of $95,720, which Secretary Treva Potter moved to approve and the board approved without opposition. The decisions followed staff recommendations and competitive solicitation and will move to implementation by maintenance and contracted vendors.
