Levelland ISD adopts cafeteria charge policy with website updates requested

Assistant Superintendent Rodney Caddell presented the Cafeteria Charge Policy under policy CO(LOCAL), explaining that the superintendent, with board approval, develops administrative regulations permitting students with exhausted meal accounts to continue to purchase meals during a grace period. The regulations include parent-notification schedules and whether students will be limited to certain foods while minimizing overt identification.
President Carrie Ellis asked whether the policy would be accessible online and noted website updates were needed; Caddell assured the board the updates would be made. Trustee Matt Buxkemper moved to approve the policy with website updates; Trustee Mike Stafford seconded and the motion passed unopposed.
