The resolution, based on a map, plan and report prepared by M.J. Engineering and the Essex County Real Property Tax Service, lists 49 Rockledge parcels with a combined 2024 ad valorem taxable value of $11,143,000. The board recorded that no capital improvements are anticipated as part of district formation and that the existing collection system “will remain as it currently exists.” The resolution states the estimated cost of operation and maintenance to the typical property will be $1,205.40.
Supervisor Davina Thurston told the board the town proceeded with formation to enable financing and grant eligibility under New York State Town Law Section 209‑d. The resolution was adopted on a roll‑call vote with four ayes and one abstention recorded for Councilperson Donna Whitelaw (online).
