Magnolia ISD bond projects ahead or on schedule; new intermediate and junior high campuses, CTE additions target 2025 openings

Tim Bruner reported progress on bond projects funded by the November 2022 bond. Intermediate School No. 3—planned to serve about 1,200 fifth- and sixth-grade students—is ahead of schedule for a January 2025 completion and an opening in August 2025. Junior High No. 3, designed to serve up to 1,200 seventh- and eighth-grade students, is on schedule for May 2025 completion and an August 2025 opening.
Bruner also said the Magnolia West High School CTE addition for HVAC training and the Magnolia High School CTE building for health sciences have exteriors nearly complete; interior work will proceed during the fall, with January 2025 targeted completion dates. Trustees received the update and no formal action was required during the meeting.
