Marshall Education Foundation reports on grant giveaways; district recognizes new math instructional coach

The Marshall Education Foundation updated the Board of Trustees on recent employee classroom grant giveaways during the Nov. 18 meeting.
Christy Godwin, president of the Marshall Education Foundation, provided the report to trustees describing the foundation's recent activities in support of classroom teachers. Dr. Richele Langley thanked the foundation for its support.
The board also recognized Price T. Young Fine Arts Academy employee Joy LePoint for her work as the school's math instructional coach. Principal Blake Langley offered an extended commendation, saying in part, "Mrs. LePoint is new to PTY as our Math Instructional Coach and she has blown us away!... Even on the days when we have to reel each other back in I know that with her as part of our Instructional Leadership Team we are destined for greatness. Thank you Mrs. LePoint for all you do for our school, our teachers, your fellow instructional coaches, and us, the admin. You truly have gone the extra mile, and then some and we are only in the 3rd six weeks. We love you, your PTY family."
