MFISD administration outlines HB3 early childhood literacy, math and CCMR goals; board action expected in November

District staff reviewed House Bill 3 requirements for early childhood literacy and math and College, Career and Military Readiness (CCMR) goals, and said revised goals and a progress-monitoring calendar will be presented for Board approval in November and posted to the district website once approved.
Yarda Leflet, joined by Dr. Heather Metzgar and Soor-el Puga, briefed the Board on Marble Falls ISD's approach to House Bill 3 requirements for early childhood literacy and math and for CCMR benchmarks. They described planned revisions to district and campus HB3 goals and a progress-monitoring calendar that administration will seek the Board to approve in November.
Leflet said that after Board approval the administration will post the revised goals and monitoring calendar to the district website as required by law. The presentation was informational; no formal action was taken at the Oct. 21 meeting.
