La Porte ISD honors students, principals and community partners

At its Oct. 8 meeting La Porte ISD trustees recognized Bayshore Elementary singers, honored 31 La Porte High School students (including AP Scholars and two AP Capstone recipients), and acknowledged principals districtwide and two community partners for their support.
Trustees recognized student and staff achievements and community partnerships during the Oct. 8 meeting. The board enjoyed a performance by the Bayshore Elementary Singers and formally recognized 31 La Porte High School students, including recent graduates honored as AP Scholars and two students who earned the AP Capstone Diploma.
The board also recognized La Porte ISD principals in observance of National Principals Month, naming campus leaders by school in the minutes, and named Community First Emergency Room and St. John’s Episcopal Church as Partners in Education. Board President Danny Hanks called the meeting to order and presided over the recognitions.
