Deputy reports summer-event patrols: 92 calls, 8 arrests, 237 traffic stops
Summary

Chief Deputy Mitch Branigan delivered the county law-enforcement report, reviewing recent event activity and enforcement outcomes. Branigan said the department handled "92 calls for service, which led to 8 arrests," and recorded 237 traffic stops and 27 minor consumption citations related to a large concert event. He noted that of the eight arrests, four occurred in the geographic area surrounding the event and described one incident in which a woman was arrested for battery and another individual attempting to remove her from custody was arrested as well.
Branigan said the events largely proceeded smoothly and that deputies have increased patrols in targeted neighborhoods where violations had been noted. He also thanked the city for new equipment acquisitions—two radar trailers and 20 "bridal" devices (as stated in the report)—that will be put into service in the coming week. Councilmembers thanked deputies for their work at community events such as Night in the Country and National Night Out.
