Cami Christensen told the council the City had received proposals from Sunrise Engineering, Jones & DeMille, and Citi Design; she said Sunrise's proposal was notably higher in cost while the other two were similar. Christensen emphasized using the existing General Plan as a foundation, incorporating master-transportation planning, and prioritizing public involvement. She also indicated potential grant opportunities through the Transportation Planning Assistance Program and willingness to assist with applications.
Council Member Stan Soper said his draft resolution broadly matched consultant proposals and proposed a work meeting to reconcile competing drafts and consultant scopes. The council set a joint work session for Thursday, July 30 at 6:30 p.m. to compare consultant bids, consider CIB or grant funding, and determine whether a formal resolution is required.
