The Board of Trustees of MARTINSVILLE ISD approved a consent agenda at its Aug. 12 regular meeting that bundled minutes, financial transactions, policy updates and administrative changes.
The consent agenda included approval of minutes from the July 15, 2024 regular meeting; payment of bills and the financial report; an increase in the price for school breakfast and lunch consistent with Texas Department of Agriculture (Square Meals) guidance; budget amendments to the 2023–2024 budget; TASB Policy Update 123 (LOCAL policy revisions including EFA(LOCAL) Instructional Resources—Instructional Materials and EFB(LOCAL) Instructional Resources—Library Materials); and updates to the student handbook. "Motion to approve the consent agenda. This motion, made by Craig Mueller and seconded by Jonathan Adams, Passed," the record shows.
Board members did not request separate consideration of any items on the consent agenda during the meeting. The approvals allow district staff to proceed with the updated policies, the handbook revisions and the budget amendments reflected in the 2023–24 financial statements.
