The Marshall Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved the purchase of a YONDR Education Package at a special called meeting on Dec. 2, 2024. Board President Brad Burris called the meeting to order at 8:33 a.m.; the approval followed a presentation by Andy Chilcoat, assistant superintendent of auxiliary services.
Chilcoat told the board the package would include 3,262 bags (Original Pouch and Medical Pouches) as well as training and communication templates at a total cost of $92,890. Trustee Cathy Marshall moved to approve the purchase; Trustee Rudy Medina seconded. The board voted 6 in favor, 0 against and 0 abstaining, and the president declared the motion passed.
The meeting record lists district staff present, including Susie Byrd, assistant superintendent for business and finance, and other administrators. There were no public comments during the meeting, which adjourned at 8:38 a.m.
