The Board of Trustees of Marshall Independent School District convened a special agenda‑review meeting on Nov. 14, 2024. Board President Brad Burris called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. in the Pat R. Smith‑Gasperson Board Room and established a quorum of trustees present; the session adjourned at 12:49 p.m.
Burris explained that the meeting was a review prior to the regular meeting slated for Monday. The minutes record that Bettye Fisher offered the invocation and that there were no public comments. Administrative reports were introduced for consideration at the regular meeting, including the maintenance plan for facilities and vehicles, a band trip review, an update from the Marshall Education Foundation (to be provided Monday), a Telecommunication Free Learning Environment update from Tina Brown, and two notices of intent to apply for grants presented by Dr. Natasha Crain. Superintendent Dr. Richele Langley said she would save her report for Monday.
The agenda‑review meeting served only to present and organize items for the consent and regular agendas; trustees did not take formal votes during this special meeting. The board scheduled consideration and any required votes at the regular meeting on Monday.
