MFISD honors students, teachers and staff; MFHS athletes and band qualify for state

The Marble Falls Independent School District board began the meeting with multiple recognitions. Principal Kara Gasaway presented fifth‑grade students Elizabeth Copeland and Brody Freeman with Superintendent's Awards; Spicewood Elementary teacher Beth Coyle received the "Going the Extra Mile" award and a Teacher Spotlight Award from PEC; and Dr. Jeff Gasaway recognized operations staff member Willie Delaney with the Spotlight on Excellence. Highland Lakes Elementary teacher Pauline Ramirez was named the Spotlight on Engagement recipient.
Athletics and arts recognitions included Marble Falls High School cross‑country qualifiers Tyler Hamblin (senior) and Reese Massey (freshman) for reaching the state meet, and MFHS band members and assistant directors were recognized for qualifying for the State Band Competition and placing in the top 10% of 4A bands — the first MFHS band in school history to make the State Competition. Presenters praised recipients for classroom achievement, dedication and school impact.
