The Town Board accepted Barbara Darrah’s resignation and adopted Resolution #62 appointing Shauna Manning as Town Clerk and Registrar of Vital Records effective Aug. 17, 2024, with Resolution #63 authorizing Manning to sign checks on the Town Clerk checking account (NBT account number provided in the minutes). The board also adopted Resolution #64 to close an inactive Town Hall grant checking account with NBT Bank that had been opened for a NYSERDA solar grant and which the town characterized as inactive since Aug. 31, 2021.
The board congratulated the Bloomingdale Boosters’ Minor Baseball Team (Mountain Top Masonry Team 1) via Resolution #65. Supervisory updates included approval to advertise an RFP to repair Town Hall basement drainage and a decision to advertise for a new town hall cleaner after the current contractor, owner David McCarthy of Scooters Cleaning Business, notified the town he will retire in September. The board also noted an offer from Bloomingdale Methodist Church trustees to sell the church building at 1684 NYS Route 3 for $140,000 and agreed to tour the building before further discussion.
