Dr. Sima Jeudney said the district expects about 250 total participants across elementary, junior high and newcomer programs, including roughly 40 incoming kindergarten students who will attend a 0.5‑day "summer leap" offering.
Jeudney said curricular components will include math and literacy (with curriculum support from CFC), SEL activities and enrichment rotations such as STEM and the Cardboard Challenge; teachers will receive training immediately after the school year ends to prepare for the full‑day model. "We are running a full day program," Jeudney said, describing staff plans to evaluate the model and determine whether to continue it next summer.
