Board approves consent agenda, trip requests and appraisal-district nominee

The board approved a multi-item consent agenda at its Sept. 16 meeting, including minutes from three August meetings, district and campus improvement plans for 2025–26, agreements with McLennan County Elections and two Midway High School out-of-state trips. Trustee Colin Witt moved to approve the consent package (excluding Item 9, which was pulled for discussion); Rick Tullis seconded and the motion passed 6–0. After discussion, trustees approved the pulled Item 9 (MHS Meistersingers out-of-state trip) on a separate motion by Pam Watts, seconded by Jonathan Green; that motion also passed 6–0.
Trustees next considered a resolution nominating Jim Patton to the McLennan Central Appraisal District Board of Directors for a 2026 term. Susan Vick moved to approve the nomination and Colin Witt seconded; the motion carried 6–0.
