Council approves purchase-and-sale agreement with New Leaf Communities for Mikkelsen Estate

At the July 2 meeting the Hilliard Town Council approved a Purchase and Sale Agreement submitted by New Leaf Communities, LLC for the Mikkelsen Estate property. Town Attorney Christian Waugh advised there was one small contract revision to consider; Paige Johnston, representing New Leaf, explained that "the requested contract revision would allow the extension fee to be refunded if New Leaf elected not to proceed with the purchase."
Councilman Joe Michaels moved to approve the agreement; Council Pro Tem Lee Pickett seconded and the motion carried. The council recorded the supporting votes of Council President Kenny Sims, Council Pro Tem Lee Pickett, Councilman Jared Wollitz and Councilman Joe Michaels.
