MoDOT: 291 of Vernon Countys 295 bridges rated good or fair; four rated poor

MoDOT told the Vernon County Commission that 291 of the countys 295 bridges were rated good or fair and four rated poor; the Infantry Pass Bridge is being replaced and the remaining three poor-rated bridges are slated for future consideration.
Aaron Reider of the Missouri Department of Transportation told the Vernon County Commission that, of 295 county-owned bridges, 291 were rated either good or fair and four were rated poor. He noted the Infantry Pass Bridge is being replaced and said the other three poor-rated bridges will be considered for replacement in the future.
"Our upkeep on our bridges is phenomenal!" Reider told the commission, attributing the generally positive ratings to the countys maintenance program. Mike Reasoner, Road and Bridge Foreman, attended the report and remained for follow-up operational discussion about local repairs and culverts.
