DeSoto Regional schedules open house for new hospital beds Aug. 21

Todd Eppler, DeSoto Regional’s CEO, used the board meeting to invite the public to an open house for new hospital beds on Aug. 21 from 4–6 p.m., saying the plan is to open the beds to patients on Aug. 24 pending a Louisiana Department of Health survey. “We're gonna have an open house for our new hospital beds… August 21, 4 to 6,” Eppler said.
He asked community members to tour the new beds before patients occupy them, noting the opening is conditional on the state survey. Eppler framed the announcement as a community invitation and thanked the board for the opportunity to make the announcement in the public forum.
The board responded with thanks and moved on to the next agenda item.
