County to test emergency sirens twice during upcoming test day, officials warn residents calls may increase

County staff told commissioners the county will conduct its siren-testing day with two tests: a local-zone test at each siren and a countywide test, and that residents may call the office during the day to report multiple siren activations.
"So your constituents call in 01:00, and we're gonna do county wide and how we have these zones," a staff member said, explaining the purpose of the two tests and that some sirens are being replaced. The staff member asked commissioners to relay the information to constituents who might be concerned by repeated siren sounds.
The board acknowledged the announcement and moved on to other community and calendar updates.
