Lubbock ISD board nominates two appraisal district candidates, creates bond oversight committee

The Board unanimously approved nominations to the Lubbock Central Appraisal District Board of Directors and voted to create a district Bond Oversight Committee at the Sept. 18 meeting. Presenter Kathy Rollo asked the Board to nominate Brady Goen and Greg Jones for the two open seats on the appraisal district board; the motion passed 7-0 (Motion: Beth Bridges; Second: Nancy Sharp).
The Board also approved creating a Bond Oversight Committee presented by Dr. Rollo; Board member Lala Chavez moved the motion and John Weddige seconded. The committee will be charged with monitoring bond implementation and reporting to the Board, with follow-up implementation details to be developed by administration.
