Board approves theater lighting upgrade to avoid market escalation

"Honestly, between our first quote and being able to move forward and execute on this, there was already 14% of escalation in there," Jordan said, arguing early procurement would both save money and allow students to use the equipment during the current school year.
Trustees approved the motion on a roll call vote. The district indicated the lighting purchase is intended to be integrated with the planned refresh but procured earlier to manage cost risk and to support student access.
