District staff member Jen, who briefed trustees before the vote, said the restoration will be handled by Joseph's Woodworking and carried out over roughly four years. "Remaining 88 historical windows, most of which face the front of the high school," she said, describing a plan to remove up to 20 windows at a time, restore them offsite and reinstall them. Jen said temporary plexiglass will be used so the building will not appear boarded up and that the district set a firm requirement that windows be in place for graduation photos each year.
Trustees approved the motion by roll call. The board recorded the decision as a carried motion; there were no recorded dissenting votes. Work is scheduled to begin after school is out and proceed in staged removals and re‑installs. The district said the phased approach is intended to preserve the building's historic character while minimizing disruptions to school events and appearances.
