Highway foreman reports grader hydraulics, new truck arrival and ash-tree removals

The highway foreman told the selectboard that the town’s grader has hydraulic issues (six hoses to identify and replug) and that a Western Stars part is under warranty. He said a replacement chassis for a new truck is in New Hampshire at the dealer and that the plow body is not yet ready.
He also outlined plans to cut leaning ash trees that are creating choke points in ditches and along roads, noting the town will coordinate with landowners and the electric company as needed. "We're gonna have to work with the power company on tunnel," he said while describing tree-trimming coordination and the likely multi-year effort to manage ash decline.
