Robin Lochner, a member of the township Parks & Recreation board, told supervisors the board's formal parks plan is roughly 75–80% complete and that they are awaiting contractor estimates needed to finish the proposal.
"Our goal is to submit that to the supervisors in advance of your September meeting," Lochner said, and asked permission for a supplemental public meeting so the Parks board can review final proposals without violating Pennsylvania sunshine laws. The chair suggested the Parks board continue its August meeting to a date certain (proposed Wednesday, Aug. 26) at a specific time to accomplish the review; the board members present agreed that continuing to a date certain would satisfy open-meetings requirements.
Township staff said they will confirm room availability and can post details on the township bulletin board and website. The Parks & Rec board expects to finalize and submit the plan for supervisor consideration at the September meeting after contractor estimates are included.
