The Midway Independent School District Board of Trustees on Oct. 21 approved most items on its consent agenda by unanimous vote, including minutes from the Sept. 16 regular meeting and Oct. 2 special meeting, early graduation requests, approval for a Midway FFA out‑of‑state trip, a new Practicum in Engineering course for Midway High School, the Texas Teacher Day proclamation, and an agreement to purchase attendance credits. The board initially removed Item 4 (a list of recommended library materials) for discussion; after addressing questions, trustees voted to approve that item as well.
President Pete Rusek presided over the vote. The motion to approve Items 1–3 and 5–8 was made by Trustee Susan Vick and seconded by Trustee Pam Watts; the record shows all seven trustees—Brad Alford, Jonathan Green, Pete Rusek, Rick Tullis, Susan Vick, Pam Watts, and Colin Witt—voted in favor. A subsequent motion by Pam Watts, seconded by Colin Witt, carried to approve the previously removed library materials item. No trustee votes against or abstentions were recorded in the official minutes.
