Staff reported progress on a separate planning project and updated the commission on the status of Spark funds. Leanne said the intergovernmental agreement (IGA) draft for a housing capacity analysis — developed with consultant Cascadia Partners and reviewed by DLCD — is back for internal staff review and will go to council for approval before launch.
On the Spark funding question, Leanne said the matter remains under legal review and that no monies have been dispersed: "they're not out of, I guess, the legal process and no monies have been dispersed." The commission noted the size of those funds and asked staff to keep commissioners updated as the legal review progresses.
