Drivers, union leader urge board to protect bargaining-unit jobs and avoid outsourcing

Greger described attempts to recruit and retain drivers as insufficient and told the board the district must invest in retention instead of moving immediately to a long-term outside solution.
Board members listened to both speakers and later referenced the comments during deliberations on contract safeguards and a proposed 120-day operational review.
