Superintendent Tom told the board he toured CSI with City BOCES as a possible lease location for expanded programs and said BOCES will discuss the opportunity at an upcoming meeting. He said district staff are compiling surveys about full-day universal prekindergarten (UPK) and that some parents still prefer a half-day option.
Tom also described a small fire in an art room at Miller Hawk that maintenance and custodial staff helped extinguish. "Paul Brissett did an amazing job right on the spot putting it out before it really got worse," Tom said, commending staff for repairs and for making classrooms ready when students returned after the break.
