Student government reports Lake Placid trip; 18 DECA students advance to statewide competition

Student representative Matteo told the board that the student-government trip to Lake Placid for the annual NYSELSA conference "was a huge success," and said members left with a stronger sense of leadership and new learning opportunities. He said student government is preparing for a March educational trip to Disney World.
Matteo also congratulated DECA students who advanced to the statewide competition in Rochester in March, listing 18 individual event placers by name and noting four team event placers. He announced that senior Olivia Shire was named to the New York State Public High School Athletic Association All-State Team in Class AA for volleyball and that the school musical, Hadestown, is scheduled for Feb. 6โ8.
