Land Use Administrator Lee Anne Wollitz told the council that scammers have created fraudulent Planning & Zoning invoices requesting wire transfers and said the Town Attorney recommended adding a disclaimer to Town emails stating that "the Town will never request payment by wire transfer." The council also agreed to redact applicants' email and physical addresses from meeting agendas going forward.
Town Clerk Lisa Purvis announced the Westside Regional Park ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., and confirmed RSVPs for councilmembers and directors. Purvis also reminded the council that Hurricane Shelter bids will be opened publicly at 2:00 p.m. on June 11, 2026, and that election qualifying runs from noon July 2 through noon Aug. 7, 2026 with candidate petitions due by noon July 30 at the Supervisor of Elections office.
