Public comment opened at 7:29 p.m. A resident said he plans to build a garage and said he had met with Engineer Lucas Jones and Planner Jennifer Haskamp to ask what he could do on his property. The minutes record that the council, the city attorney, the engineer and the planner discussed survey needs and agreed to discuss the matter further at the August meeting.
Also during public comment, Tom Lopac identified himself as "running for Minnesota House of Representatives District 52B" and said he is becoming familiar with local cities. Public comment closed at 7:57 p.m.
