Council member Golias moved to accept Fahrner's bid and Council member Lee seconded; the motion passed 5‑0. Jones said the work should take up to three days and that drivers should avoid freshly treated roads for "about an hour or two until they set up." The council did not attach additional conditions to the award and directed staff to coordinate scheduling and public notice.
