The board recorded Planning Board responses (support for the 1 Depot Square application; no comment on 51 Terrace Street) and treated both applications as SECRA Type 2 actions that do not require environmental review.
Chair Eric Worth summarized the administrative posture for the hearings and noted the Planning Board’s recommendation in the depot application. "The planning board supports the variances sought for the current site plan," the chair said during the meeting; he also noted the board considered the applications under the five-factor area-variance test. Both applications passed after board deliberation: the Depot pavilion was granted a 3-foot rear-yard variance and the 51 Terrace Street application was granted a 2-foot side-yard variance. The board directed staff to draft formal decisions and advised both applicants to pursue building permits through the town’s permitting office.
The meeting concluded after a short administrative wrap-up and confirmation that drafted decisions will be presented for formal adoption at a subsequent meeting.
