Lisa, who spoke for co-curricular and extracurricular programs, said the district "is trending in the right direction, which is positive," and listed four state qualifiers in girls track and field — including Anna Costin, who finished second in the 800 — and the boys baseball team's first district championship since 2009, which advanced them to the regional final. She also noted Rowan Weber was named the Cuyahoga County All-Ohio player of the year and several students earned competitive honors and grants, including a $5,000 award for the high school academic challenge team.
The board also approved several routine trip proposals tied to extracurricular programs, including retroactive approval for the high school's state-track trip and authorization to begin planning a 2027 performance tour for orchestra. Members emphasized that required compliance steps for athletics remain in place and urged families to attend the August meeting to complete necessary OHSAA documentation.
