The Nederland ISD Board on March 24 approved purchases totaling $263,603 for district technology upgrades and athletic facility repairs. The Board voted to buy districtwide computers from Bytespeed for $76,173 and to contract Vibra Whirl Sports to resurface the Bulldog Stadium track for $187,430; Bond proceeds will be used for the stadium project.
During discussion Mr. Micah Mosley asked whether security systems would be added to allow citizen use of the track after resurfacing. Mr. Bill Jardell said the district would explore security options after the track is replaced. The motion passed unanimously (6-0).
