Friends of the Library to seek funding for launchpad tablets; recommend city payment process

Cooper said the Friends discussed practical payment methods and recommended that the Friends write a check to the City and have city accounts-payable pay vendor invoices so items could be returned or sent for maintenance and repairs. She also said the Friends plan to discuss hosting a water station at the city’s Splash Days event.
Board members did not take formal action on the funding request during the April 14 meeting; the Friends are scheduled to consider the request at their April 15 meeting. The board’s minutes note the Friends will coordinate payment and maintenance logistics with city staff.
