Bridge set for mid‑August as rail restoration and depot trail work near completion

David Upson reported the rail restoration at the depot is complete, public-works crews installed picnic tables and trash receptacles, and only East Hardwick construction remains pending after a recent pre-construction meeting where two contractors were identified to start in the coming weeks.
Upson said crews have completed three pours on the bridge wall and will begin backfilling next week; he added the bridge is expected to arrive the week of the 16th, be assembled on site and lifted into place, with electrical conduit installed as part of the process. "They're gonna start backfilling next week, and they're gonna work their way back up," he said.
