Chief Riley asked the board to declare a rusted, deteriorated upright toolbox stored at 500 North Cass as surplus so it could be removed from village inventory and disposed of. "This is a toolbox that's been up there for almost 20 years, rusted out," Chief Riley said in his brief presentation.
Trustee Johanna Guzzo moved to approve the surplus declaration and Trustee Perrelli seconded; the board approved the motion by roll call without recorded opposition. The village indicated the action is a housekeeping measure to clean up long-unused equipment and free inventory space; there was no financial estimate included in the discussion.
