Resident says speed trailer placement on Gregory Avenue is obstructing signs and endangering driveway visibility

Maxwell Dubin told the council that a speed-monitoring trailer placed on Gregory Avenue this morning obstructs an existing traffic sign and his driveway sightlines, creating a potential hazard for his household. Dubin said he spoke to Lieutenant Thomas McManus earlier and asked that the trailer be relocated to a nearby corner where it would still show drivers' speeds without creating a safety or sleep disturbance for neighbors.
The police traffic bureau chief replied that the device is a movable "speed trailer" intended to be deployed townwide to increase driver awareness before school begins and that Gregory Avenue was a priority deployment site. "What I will do is review it with them and the command staff and see if there could be a better location," the chief said, and agreed to coordinate directly with the resident if the trailer remains at its current spot.
Council members and the administration urged residents to submit photographs and specific location details so staff can review alternative placements that achieve visibility without obstructing other signs or driveways.
