The board granted a variance to allow the car wash at 3106 Newton Street to reconfigure two bays into a single longer automatic bay; the board requested the petitioner provide exact measurements to be added to the written findings. It also approved a variance allowing an accessory structure at 1006 West Division Road to sit roughly 14 feet from the side lot line rather than the 20-foot I‑1 requirement; staff will record the precise measurement and drawings in the findings.
Chair also introduced Seth Eckstein as the city’s new permitting specialist. The board set its next meeting for Sept. 2, 2026, and adjourned for the evening.
