Keller ISD board names Dr. Corey Wilson lone finalist in superintendent search

The Keller ISD Board of Trustees on Thursday voted 5-0 to name Dr. Corey Wilson as the lone finalist in the district’s superintendent search, the board’s presiding officer announced after a brief discussion.

"I move to name doctor Corey Wilson as lone finalist for the position of superintendent for Keller ISD," the presiding officer said when making the motion; a second was recorded and the board carried the nomination unanimously. The board had met earlier in an executive session to review applications and deliberate on the search, and the presiding officer said a press release would be issued the following day.

Board members said little during the public portion of the vote, with the presiding officer describing Dr. Wilson as "a stalwart member and educator in Keller ISD" and expressing confidence in naming him the lone finalist. The motion passed with a tally of five in favor and none opposed; Trustees Rancliffe and Coker were noted as absent and out of town.
