The board approved a contract with Corrective Asphalt Materials LLC of Sugar Grove on June 16 for the village's 2026 preventive pavement maintenance (Reclamite) program in the amount of $112,174.40.
Public-works staff explained Reclamite rejuvenation reintroduces oils and resins lost from pavement and that the village has used the program every other year since 2012. Staff said the total area to be treated is "just over 86,000 square yards" and that the current joint-purchase program price is $1.30 per square yard, which yields an approximate total of $114,000; the contract award was recorded at $112,174.40. Staff recommended approval and the board adopted the resolution after roll-call voting.
Staff said they expect the treatment to extend pavement life by five to ten years for the targeted streets; the program is intended for pavements installed in 2024 and 2025 and will proceed under the village's joint-purchase municipal partnering initiative.
