Trustees discussed the balance between joyful, kid‑friendly color and long‑term maintenance; staff described a process where site design teams will produce schemes using the palette and the facilities committee and board will review final applications. Trustees also discussed ‘activation’ areas that the community or school could use for murals or other expressive elements beyond the standard palette.
The board approved the palette for use in upcoming summer exterior painting projects; specific color placements and high‑visibility accent walls will continue to be vetted through the site design process and steering committee.
