Council member says final review of unincorporated UGA likely delayed

"There's at least community concern that there's, like, 7 tick marks of things that need to happen before the county says complete," the council member said, noting six items are complete but the final 'tick mark' will take additional work.
A separate council member asked whether the city would circulate an updated list of expert consultants conducting environmental and technical studies. "Are we going to get a list of the experts? Will we get a list of the experts?" they asked.
Administration responded that the council previously approved a set of consultants, those consultants have been engaged, and there is no additional list to circulate at this time. "You approved the council, approved the list of consultants, and they've been engaged and are doing that work," the mayor said, adding the county's feedback — that the remaining item "should be a bigger box" — means the completeness step is not imminent.
The committee did not take formal action on the UGA item; members said they expect continued follow-up through Parks & Public Works and the committee's standing agenda in coming meetings.
