The Vernon County Health Department board voted to accept the community health improvement plan required for maintaining a Level 2 health department designation. Director (S1) asked for board approval to publish the plan to the department website in January.
"So we would need approval to accept, the community health improvement plan, and then I will publish this to the website in January," S1 said before members moved and voted to approve the plan. The director said the plan synthesizes a community needs assessment and staff-resource review, and highlights five priority areas identified through community ranking and staff discussion.
Board members indicated the plan will guide the department's programming for the next four years, and staff said they would distribute the full document online after posting. No amendments were proposed at the meeting and the motion carried.
