County administrator flags preliminary 2027 budget with large levy increase

She said county administration will continue reviewing departmental requests and identify adjustments to reduce the overall levy before recommending a budget.
Jane also reminded members that the Ithaca‑Tompkins International Airport operates a fuel station available to municipalities through the WACS fuel card program, which can yield lower bulk pricing; and she reported that the county finance director submitted his resignation, prompting the legislature to appoint an interim finance director while completing a final selection process.
